Question about Shutdown()

Nov 30, 2008 at 11:53 PM
I notice that in the MemCachedBench_2.0 project at the end of the code the application calls too SockIOPool.GetInstance().Shutdown();

I am currently integrating the code into a website (soon to hit production) and I am curious about leaking connections.  Do I need to explicitly shutdown the pool after I make a call to memcache?

Thanks,
Jeff

Shutdown method only needs to be called in application shutdown event in global.asax. You don't have to worry about connection management.
